I mean I get that; all my Steam purchases were deep discount buys, and I've used Fanatical once to buy the Dying Light key, but damn lol
Remember when they had games come with an online pass too
So not only did you pay for online you had to pay for an online pass especially if you bought a game used

I remember BF3 turned me off of EA games for the whole generation because of that and the storage requirements
I had one of the 4gb Xbox 360s. Got a pre owned copy of BF3 for my birthday. Put it in and I couldn’t play without at least a 32gb hard drive and an active online pass. I was so disappointed
I didn’t come back until BF4 on the PS4
worth it, monthly games on psn you can keep forever and access to ps plus games
You can keep them as long as you are actively subbed 
1.28TB of my PS5 storage gone because of 22 disc games
