Holy eff. Just found a cheap ass usb sensor bar for my Wii controllers and s*** connected flawlessly to Dolphin and my pc with bluetooth.
Turned my PC into a bit a of an emulation machine yesterday.
Native wii controllers on pc is wicked. I have been wanting to play Sin and Punishment: Star Successor for so long but I didnt want to whip out my Wiis again. Having the motion aiming is so good.
Got Duckstation and PCSX2 as well.
Now the backlog grows.
upgraded the 7600x to a 9800x3d
Good choice. You dont want to bottleneck that 7900 xtx. I believe its enabled by default but enable smart access memory in your bios so your amd cpu and amd gpu share direct memory

Just checked and it was automatically applied, I appreciate that though!

Dolphin is the gold standard of emulation
I was using my Logitech G29 with pedals to play Double Dash and F-Zero GX a few weeks ago and it worked perfectly. S*** is insane

I found a Meta Quest 3 for a really good price. I had to get it. Will be trykng VR for the first time. I went to best buy to check something and they actually had a demo display. Tried for a few minutes and its really cool. Im excited to try actual games. Half Life Alyx is on sale right now too.

Can you play Alyx and other intensive games wirelessly with that? I found a good deal on the new meta headset that intrigues me

i use virtual desktop app vrdesktop.net its a paid app on quest store. I find it to be the best experience when streaming pc to quest.
id really pay up for the quest 3 and not the 3s if you are interested at all in streaming high end experiences from the pc. the resolution and fov will go a long way if you have the rig (and network) to power it.
Elden Ring DLC ain't on sale. F*** them payola hoes
bought Batman Trilogy cuz it's been years and I don't even think I played the third one
Psychonaughts 2 and Doom Eternal were a steal as well.
The VR sales are ASS. No Blade and Sorcery and Meta didn't discount Resident Evil 4
Looking to build my Son a pc for Christmas.
Any advice?
Shows off a bunch of popular options right now

What would be the best way to improve my pcvr performance?
Specs are
Using a Quest 3
I'm not using a usb 3 cable to link it but from what I've read that doesn't make a huge difference
Playing Alyx I'm stuttering pretty often, every time I change my weapon there's about a half second pause. It doesn't feel smooth at all for a system I assumed would be able to run it pretty easily.
I've played around in the quest app for hours using different resolution and framerate combos, can never get a good mix so I usually just leave it on recommended, but I feel like I could be getting so much more out of it.

What frames are you currently getting from playing HL: Alyx?
Using PCVR in general can be pretty CPU/GPU intensive, and since you’re noticing stutters then upgrading to a 4070 GPU or higher would help tremendously. Upgrading to a higher RAM speed and DDR5 would help as well.
The CPU seems fine, but I know PCVR benefits a lot more from 3D V Cache (5800x3d, 7800x3, etc.)

Around 70-72 fps on Alyx with my resolution set to 4128x2208, not bad performance but my 1% lows make it feel horrible. Even lowering the resolution I still experience some pretty bad stuttering. I bought Into the radius today and that's giving me stutters as well. I've been looking at my task manager while running the games and it doesn't look like anything is maxing out.
While closing the games I'm having issues with my pc freezing up for a minute, it gets really annoying when I'm going back and forth changing the link settings. Just purchased some faster ddr4 ram that should be here tomorrow, so I'll see if that helps.
