got my msi mag x870 today. now i just need the 9700x and ram to come in

built a pc about a week ago

specs: (the cpu is a ryzen 5 7600x, idk why its showing amd k19. the ram is a corsair vengeance RGB 32 GB DDR5)
the case is a montech x3 mesh

My 3080 12gb is still keeping me happy. I think this card could last me a long time.

admittedly thelack of a proper node shrink doesn't give room for true generational improvement but still... the 5090's supposed performance is what the 5080 should be

I still want to upgrade from my 30 series if the deal is right but i don't feel the pressing need to since the jump isn't that crazy

Question I posted in PC Build thread was—

I was planning on buying a new PC desktop soon but saw that there were only a few models available and they were all super pricey (I saw a lot that were under $500 in November and December).

Anyone know if that’s due to tariffs already kicking in, or is it just because the 2025 inventory hasn’t been released yet?

I’m not sure what specific parts you’re looking at but most modern PCs with good parts are going to run well above the $1000 range, tariffs or no tariffs. You’re lucky nowadays to get just the graphics card for $500 or less.
