Don’t think they paying $400 for the key switches. Probably the custom parts and s*** for the overall keyboard. There’s like keyboard projects that people pay into for parts and s***. There’s a keyboard building community that pays a lot for a nice keyboard.

The switches probably the least expensive part.

the caps and body and contribute to the overall sound and feel also, me and my bro both run cherry brown and our kb have different sounds,

plus if you see the reveal of any custom online its the typing sound part is what they all wanna hear

my boy helped me figure out what it was, my fkn gaming laptop only has one 3.5mm input, so I thought I was good just sticking the headset’s main trs into it my soundboard couldn’t differentiate the two inputs (mic/aux) using the one, so it opted to the output (Realtek is absolute s***).

The whole time, I was like, “lol why tf they include a splitter hahaha broke boy s*** in 2021” not knowing I was the dumbass.

Getting a USB splitter that has the mic&aux inputs problem solved

just bit the resale bullet for a 6600xt last night

at least it’s better than my old 970 but the market is f***ed
