It was Rocky trying to make an album similar to frank ocean or other similar contemporary artist the only thing was he’s not creative enough to pull it off. He still raps the same way and makes the same songs he did when he first came out. As you get older you realize that, and he’s stuck making music for guys in between 18-22. Basically he’s the new big Sean.
Before I even seen this thread today I was going down Rocky discography. Nothing really catches my ear besides the singles.

Just my opinion ahki.
Rocky is dope as hell but I never cared for his albums
Visually tho, he’s one of the best to do it.
Also really love Same Problems it’s been on repeat.
I like the album but to me it feels very hollow like DONDA 2 where this s*** got a backbone but there’s nothing more to it, the verses were few and very bad on some songs and they were just talking about nothing like he just had to make a song and that’s all (especially Buck Shots and OG Beeper) but there are some great tracks that I love on here so I never knew where to put this album in terms of my rankings
Have strong cases for this
Crash talk
And binos album
All overhated based on roll out/single
I remember only rly loving asap forever, da shine, fukk sleep and purity at the time. but as a full project it holds up a lot better than i thought it would
Album ass. Dude has nothing to talk about. Nothing interesting to say. All style no substance.
Only a few good songs on here.
definitely a good album
prbly my fav of his bcuz it rly was him f***ing around w/ a bunch of diff things

this album is inspired by dean blunt, the lazy delivery, the sometimes structureless nature, he is all over the album production wise, I’d argue anyone who doesn’t know this, doesn’t know what he attempted to do with this, still a meh album
this s*** is the fire walk with me of rap albums
it is absolutely not, and you should be ashamed for even making the comparison
