I did. Religions aren't afforded the same rights as race/ethnicity/nationality.
Rightfully so too. This is somebody who grew up around the Catholic Church and it's disgusting ways and as time progresses with science every religion should get more and more scrutiny/criticism.
Some of it can get discriminatory which isn't right but comes with territory.
Religion is often tied to one's nationality/ethnicity/race
Conservative politicians often refer to Christianity as a western religion and therefor push back against immigrants who bring in their own religions...
Example: Nazi Germany was bigoted against jews for being jews (they attached negative stereotypes to Judaism. When you change the definition of what a jew is, then you can convince other people to belief it and act upon it: Hitler didn't offer a sound critique of Judaism (the dogma, practices, etc.) but was dehumanizing towards the community )
Religion isn't just an idea. For humans it becomes a way of life that they share with their community
Every comment you made on this thread before I started quoting you, some you have deleted also
If you gotta delete and edit comments that’s very telling
The big 4 are (or at least at one point were) the same. I think they’ve all gotten some things mixed up over time.
It’s the eastern religions that trip me out. Like really, we’re gonna say they’re all wrong and have always been wrong?
Eastern religions are more about self and bettering yourself by becoming humble or something like that right? Kinda similar to Christianity’s idea of sanctification.
Idk, yeah it’s the hardest thing for me to reckon with. That and the way religion can be so easily perverted and manipulated to serve some dudes personal selfish motives.
@trez_la_nadia is being a disingenuous prick right now
He literally said
"woman beating, homophobic, pedophile" referring to a prophet
Him not saying the name isn't important as everyone with half a brain knows that those accusations are often used to slander Islam
So he's already being intellectually dishonest
He then plays the victim by stating that other posters said something to warrant such slander when no one said something vile towards Jesus or Christians as a whole besides one poster who expressed that "Christianity is racist and the Bible is false."
Now if he can provide a name of the prophet he was referring to I'll shut up
But he's mostly likely going to continue gaslighting everyone itt and play the victim when called out for it.

All he does is derail threads everytime Islam is brought up by being islamaphobic or make the thread about Islam if religion in general if is brought up. Mods should do something
Edit: @sab ?

Religion isn't just an idea. For humans it becomes a way of life that they share with their community
And that way of life they share with their community alot of times is at the peril and expense of others.
If you want to denounce nations that have Christianity as their backbone than you should be equally or more upset with Sharia.

That's beside the point as I was responding to you claiming that religions don't have the same rights as race/nationality/ethnicity....
Furthermore I never said the contrary, just used an easy example
Same could be said for other persecutions of any religious minority residing in a nation with a different religion (ie: Christians in the middle east, Muslims in China etc)
I simply used an example of last century's mass genocide during the the last world War (WW2)
It was a pretty big thing last century and an example that I know anyone can understand without getting too deep into it...
Since you replied with a concern of me "denouncing nations that have Christianity as their backbone" without mentioning other examples of religious minorities being persecuted despite that not being my intention nor the core of my initial argument: I'm just gonna assume that you're not arguing in good faith and will end it right here
