man now I want some Turkish food
kebab with pilav on the side and baclava for desert
Green tea
I’ve been drinking hot tea just about every night now. It’s a new part of my routine and for some odd reason I love it.
What’s good brands to get? I got some sort of variety pack
Also I make the hot water and immediately dunk my tea bag in the cup…..not sure if that burns the leaves or not. Just wondering if I could be making it a better way
I don’t enjoy light roasts personally that much unless it’s black
Medium roasts are enjoyable if you buy them near the roast date. Great for black, decent with milk.
Dark roasts should only be for milk drinks or old school espressos (you’d probably hate espresso though)
Good coffee is expensive to try because it’s extremely expensive to source. Chain coffee will never be good black. Maybe research a good shop near you and see if your opinion changes.
gas station dark roast black coffee be smacking for me whenever I have to make a long drive
I'm not even turkish but their food be fire
I'm not bout that spicy life tho, keep that

man I need to go back to Istanbul
I drink like 15 cups of coffee everyday
First in the morning, my "breakfast" is basically just drinking coffee all morning
Then in the afternoon around 5pm where I drink a few cups again
I don't feel anything. It's just like drinking water or juice to me

Damn, you drink even more than I do
everything above 4 cups and below 7 is what most docs recommend as healthy
I suffer from migraines and epilepsy tho and sometimes I'm in a thin line between coffee making me feel better to getting on my nerves
I spent one day a few days ago without coffee and my cigs tasted like s***....I was seriously confused like ''wtf am i supposed to be sippin now? coke? tea? f*** that''

Facts and you're better for it. I'm on day 14 of doing 3 cups a day and holy f*** I'm finally starting to not have a constant headache. F*** caffeine withdrawals
Also f*** me for having chosen to do journalism as a major at first lmao, a full pot was light work for some of the folks I knew in the program

@Flaphead I have ulcers too and while I've tried diet changes and cutting down on certain things...mental health is the most crucial part of ulcers
when you depressed your gut fills with acid dripping into the thin linings of your stomach and that is worse than meat, carbonated drinks and such...
PS. I'm not confusing ulcers for neurosis either
best of luck bro
Thanks fam. It's honestly for the best. I've known drinking that amount of coffee every day was a problem for a while, but had been putting it off. Better to address it now than later in life

Absolutely - and it's absolutely a factor for me. I'm on Zoloft as well, which we're pretty sure isn't causing it since I've been on the same dose for nearly 10 years and I only started having ulcer symptoms in the past year - but you never know with SSRIs.
I definitely do have some work to do with my mental health, though. I see a therapist and have gotten great at combatting panic attacks/particularly hard days with mindfulness and meditation, but this whole saga has made me realize that there's a baseline of anxiety that I just kind of have accepted as normal, particularly in this past year. So that's my next target: reducing my day-to-day anxiety/depression symptoms and really doing right by myself overall while also not drinking a f***ing disgusting amount of coffee every day
F***ing sucks to grow up and confront your addictions, but it's crucial. My favorite thing back when I was younger was coffee and a bowl while I listened to some nice music in the morning. I've since gotten much healthier with weed (smoked every day from age 19 to 25, took a year and a half break, started again recently with only low-dose edibles and feel so much better about it) but the coffee part is the real kicker...
