my coworker who 54 saw my coffee and said "I didnt know I worked with a d***less man"
Absolutely - and it's absolutely a factor for me. I'm on Zoloft as well, which we're pretty sure isn't causing it since I've been on the same dose for nearly 10 years and I only started having ulcer symptoms in the past year - but you never know with SSRIs.
I definitely do have some work to do with my mental health, though. I see a therapist and have gotten great at combatting panic attacks/particularly hard days with mindfulness and meditation, but this whole saga has made me realize that there's a baseline of anxiety that I just kind of have accepted as normal, particularly in this past year. So that's my next target: reducing my day-to-day anxiety/depression symptoms and really doing right by myself overall while also not drinking a f***ing disgusting amount of coffee every day
I have a few pieces of advice I want to humbly share
1. if you feel like vomitiing, then do it.... the relief you get from it outweighs the fear the actual act.
2. Takes ulcer meds only if you absolutely have to.
3. Sleep on your left side with an extra pillow to keep your head elevated
and as far as mental health goes....
1. Sleep is your friend...even if you get sleep anxiety, turning off your racing thoughts for awhile by sleeping might be what your mind needs
2. Eating disorders are your worst enemy....eat as much as you need to but not too little or too much...concentrate on the taste rather than the portion
3. Take some time off screens and no, I'm talking about working or when youre having fun with friends....I'm talking bout in your own time...a movie is good and music is therapy but listening to the ''silence'' will bring out your inner thoughts and while that might be unpleasant you'll get in touch with your core
Sorry 4 TLDR
I stopped drinking coffee all together instead of taking black coffee everyday. I realized I was drinking coffee to have something sweet in the morning. I now drink green tea.
Used to drink with flavored creamer and it tasted delicious
Now only black and I just do it for health benefits. I try to keep my caffeine intake to a minimum so that I won’t get too tolerant and when I do need it to be awake and alert it actually works.
So I drink it black because I don’t ever crave the taste because that s*** does not taste good
I guess just drinking it regularly. I don’t drink coffee but I started drinking green tea at a point. It taste like cigarettes to me but the more I drank the more I got used to it
High quality coffee beans
No bitter taste + you can sense a lot of different aromas
Same ish with whiskey

Black iced coffee top tier. Grab one and get something sweet to eat with it, there’s no better combination. Maybe a slice of cheesecake from Barnes and noble or a vanilla scone from Starbucks

Health wise, having all that sugar in the tank isn't good for daily use. Develop what my elders call the sugars (iykyk)
having women on that list is kinda dehumanizing tbh

no bitter tasting coffee??
what's next? non liquid water?
You get used to it. Also depends on the type of coffee you drink. I find the 100%arabica coffee tastes much better than the robusta
