Offline"I'm into books" is valid if you actually read a decent amount, considering that the average American reads maybe two books a year; a man reads one celebrity autobiography and one financial self-help book, while a woman reads one schlocky fanfic romance and one fantasy book whose target audience is 12-year-olds.

I think a lot might have to do with the time investment into the media mentioned. Let's listen to an album? Fine, it's about an hour of your time. Let's watch a movie? Fine it's about two hours of your time.
Let's read a book? Considerable time investment. You would like for it to be good before dumping a lot of time into it.

PuffyPeople don’t read books like that nowadays so that’s actually noteworthy and believe it or not, not everyone watches a lot of movies outside of blockbusters so that’s also noteworthy of they’re into that. Like I’d love to meet someone who’s into Hitchcock films. Stop deeping it.
