i keep saying Kanye is the closest thing we have to Michael, he's pretty much a household name, or at least EVERYONE has heard a Kanye song at some time in their life. Sadly I don't think people will give him that praise till he's gone. He's lowkey got a much wider skill set than Michael and will create A LOT more than just music in his life

They both started as media darlings everyone loved and they made all time great music that had massive sales. Eventually what makes them brilliant is also what turns some people off to them. MJ married Elvis's daughter and people were like what? Kanye marries Kim Kardashian and people are like what? Michael went through his "Wacko Jacko" stage and Kanye been crazy for a long time. Both are incredible perfectionists and changed the sounds of their respective genres. Both have ridiculous and incredible live performances. MJ has better dance moves and Kanye probably better stage and set design but Dangerous era MJ had crazy stages as well but not Yeezus or Glow in the Dark level. Both eventually mastered how to have presence on stage and use costumes to make a greater show. Both have dabbled in film and made incredible visual art. Both have style that if you just make a silhouette of them you would know "yeah that's him"

Regardless Michael Jackson is on another level. He was arguably the most famous person in the world at one point. I love Kanye and I think he's the 21st century's greatest artist period but he's not MJ
