HSV-1 variant, which is apparently is significantly less transmissible than oral HSV-1 or HSV-2. Heard it’s also mostly asymptomatic in men

Perhaps and that’s by far the most likely scenario anyways, given the safeguards in place along with her having the condition for around a decade. Also heard private-to-private transmission is incredibly rare too.

if you've been sexually active in your life, there's a fair chance you're already a carrier of hsv1, symptoms or not. i'd say go for it
genital hsv-1 has to be a particular variant or something , i wonder if previous exposure to hsv-1 prevents it
