I would not advise anyone to play P5 first and then the others. Gap is too big. Feel like P4G the best starting point

NG+, you won't be able to do s*** like that first playthrough without some skill card and stat grinding

finishing up my P4G replay on PC to get ready for this fall, only to get to the final day and realize i had to fight every optional bosses on top of everything else to unlock the margaret fight...

and my last two dates i saved prior were the marie dungeon and december right before all the hospital s*** goes down i gotta go through like 25 social links + shrine blessings and some dungeon crawling to unlock it

probably gonna give it some time to breathe then replay from the start of december like a month out from royal coming to switch

3rd playthrough but first one where i unlocked the hollow forest dungeon, might be the best theme in the game. had it stuck in my head ever since

How different is it from P5?

I made it pretty far through the base game before my PS4 broke and I lost my saves. I got P5R now, but like just started it.

two new confidants, both of which play a significant role in the 3rd semester. another one has a completely new spin but don't want to spoil it too much.

the 3rd semester is like another 20-30 hours of gameplay. the new final palace is on par with sae|| and ||kamoshidas, which were the best in the game IMO

i haven't played vanilla but i heard the dungeons were altered to streamline the process. okumura's palace is apparently harder in royal though lol

there's also lots of cool lesser stuff added like a museum mode, added showtime-like attacks for confidants, new personas and enemies, and a new metro location.

I really enjoyed playing P4 Golden but I kinda caught up with other games and stuff and completely forgot what was happening in the story. It's been like 2 years
