I thought we would get an announcement at the Game Awards (I’m delusional)

Currently playing Persona 4 for the first time. Still very early (like < 2 hours in) but plot is very intriguing already, really want to get to the bottom of who's behind these 2 murders so far

On the 2nd dungeon now. Think I might have screwed myself because I've been doing the typical "Get as far as you can in one day" Persona strategy but because I didn't have much SP recovery items and was under leveled, I just made it to the level I'm sure Kanji's shadow is on with almost no more SP items

Really struggling to make money in general. Dedicated a few time slots to folding envelopes and doing the daycare job but it feels like I never have enough for weapons for the party and healing/SP items

Kanji boss fight really wasn't so bad Was a struggle at my level, but I had a Persona strong to melee so I was able to get through it. Spent the next few days doing social links, upping skills by studying etc. Eventually got to a rainy day, didn't have social links so I decided to go dungeon crawling to level up for the 3rd dungeon because my only other options were use the gumball machine thing or study

Made it to the end of Yukiko's dungeon, beat a few gold hands. Going to beat the optional boss, then grind Kanji's dungeon and try to beat that optional boss (if I levelled up enough). Kinda hoping to finish the game before next weekend but Idk how likely that is since I only play at night and have 20+ hours after Kanji's dungeon

Does anyone have any advice for endings or a spoiler free guide? I've heard this game can be pretty brutal and lock you out of endings based on your actions way earlier in your playthrough

You’re quite a while away from worrying about it — but I will say, make sure you max out Marie’s social link before December(?).

Honestly I think your best bet is once you are pretty deep into the game and you feel it’s getting close to big s*** happening, just look up a guide or a spoiler free Reddit post to guide you in the right direction

EDIT: Definitely don’t remember anything “early” in the game locking you out. I think the main thing is making sure you’ve maxed Marie (and why wouldn’t you, she’s great)

Bet, will check it out when I'm deeper in the game Glad my actions at this point don't have an impact, was kinda paranoid about that. I don't mind a "bad" or evil ending but I don't want to be locked out of content

Looking forward to meeting Marie, I think Nanako adorable af Might be complicated because we live together but I hope she's a romance option

Tried to beat Contrarian King while I was Lvl 21 with a like Lvl 17 Eligor because that's the only Persona I have that resists melee. Was getting ate up, came close a few times but then he uses Rampage Also only have like 4 revival beads so when he knocked out my whole party twice, I couldn't revive them all

Grinded Yukiko and Kanji's dungeons until like 2AM. Think my character is Lvl 28 now, Eligor about Lvl 21. Yukiko also learned the skill to revive. Should be able to beat him now, also didn't know that he doesn't resist Ice/lightning attacks

Met Rise and I'm still leaning towards romancing Yukiko and staying loyal (with the Devil nurse on the side )

Rise seem like she knows everyone wants her so she leans into it, making "innocent" comments that are flirtatious. My protagonist not falling for it Yukiko seem like she got a good head on her shoulders, didn't enjoy all the attention from men, she's heir to a successful inn and she's adorable when she bursts into laughter because of something that isn't that funny

I slept with yuko, mitsuru, yukari and elizabeth and faced ZERO consequences? These writers are diabolical

I think there’s a few interactions in Tartarus if you have a full party of romanced girls but apart from that, nothing

Persona 4 is similar to P5 in that something happens on Valentine’s Day, but only for the main characters

Interesting! a full party? damn so I guess you mean the one I missed was aigis, wasn’t able to get far in that social link before 1/31 unfortunately, they’re pretty brutal with the scheduling in the late game, but hopefully I’ll do ng+ at some point and do the aigis social link and romance.
