P4 golden holds up and doesn’t need a remake. I played it for the first time last summer and really liked it.

Had me shook when I came home and this started playing

Made it to 3 December in P4G, made some dialogue choices and it skipped all the way to March Looked it up online, skimmed some Reddit post because I didn't want to spoil too much and thought it said "Push the b****** in!" was the right choice. Thought the plot can't possibly be that these kids become murderers and I suspect Adachi has something to do with the murders but I tried it anyway. Took me to March again

Actually just looked up a guide the 3rd time, chose the correct options. Wild that they expect someone to nail all those choices, but at least it saves right before you go shopping for the kotatsu and get called to the hospital. I was close my first attempt but didn't think "Calm the hell down!" was the right choice

It's currently 4 or 5 December, I got Marie on Rank 9. Getting kinda nervous because the game seems to be forcing you to spend time investigating and skipping days, so Idk if I'll actually be able to hang with Marie and max her in time Definitely not in the mood to reload a way earlier save, go through exam finals and all the other stuff after the Heaven Dungeon

Persona 5 vanilla and P4G are the only games in this series I've played and I definitely prefer the plot/characters of 4 by far

My friend is a big fan of the series and was the reason I first heard of it in high school like 12 years ago. He thinks my opinion is a wild take but I just find the murder mystery far more interesting. I felt like 5 didn't make much sense and everything was explained with vague references to psychology concepts or "the metaverse" and 4 has more occasions where the main gang hangs out and bonds (camping trip, pageant etc). Also think Yosuke > Kyuji, Teddie > Morgana etc. Just love everything about this game that isn't graphics/gameplay/QOL related a lot more than 5

P4G is my favourite for similar reasons — Inaba is the smaller city, and everything about the game follows a similar suit; it’s grounded, genuine, natural, almost comforting.

The giant city of Tokyo and Persona 5 (Royal especially) offers up activities and QoL quirks that P4G can only dream of, but there’s just something about that ethereal atmosphere of the lonely provincial village that can’t be beaten for me.

Facts. Even though the game's plot is pretty dark, it manages to feel really "cozy" with the setting and even the visual design with the focus on yellow. Don't think a video game has ever made me feel this way before or care this much about its cast of main characters. Like I'm actually immersed declining every advance from every other girl because I know it would hurt Yukiko (might cave for Rise tho)

Highly recommend watching the persona 4 animation if U can find it.
