Happens all the time when remakes are announced. Suddenly a remake is announceed and the tiny flaws in the og games were always “Extremely noticable and Bad”

how will i know if i will like these games? kind of interested but not sure lol and do i just play the 5 or start with 3?

Start with P5 Royal as it has the most features and QOL quirks. They're all their own anthologies with limited crossover so it doesn’t matter the order you do them

The start will be a little bit of a slog - the game doesn’t let you free truly until a fair few hours deep but if you like dungeon crawling and turn based RPGs you’ll enjoy it.

Even if you’re a non-anime (like me) you might love the games.

I'd argue against Grenouille here and say that Persona 3 Reload is the best to start with.

Its the most recent persona in terms of QOL updates and gets the ball rolling much quicker in terms of story/gameplay.

Persona 5 royal is a VERY long game, its a great 2nd game to play after your first persona. I tried to get into the series multiple times with P5 as my first one since 2018 and was overwhelmed.

It wasn't until Persona 3 Reload that I was able to finish a persona game and it made P5R a better experience because of it.

I'd either do persona 3 reload or persona 4 revival (comes out in feburary)

P5 is the most accessible… if you don’t like that game during the first semester (arguably the games peak before P5R released) then you won’t enjoy these games

if you like anime, japanese culture, and jrpgs you will love this series start with 3 reload

Wish I could get one of these games to stick. I put like 17 hours in on p4 golden and stopped and I just put in 14 on p5r and I don’t feel the need to play anymore. Idk what it is. I enjoy all the different systems, gameplay, music and the stories have been interesting enough but for whatever reason I don’t have the drive to stick with them for the long haul

All the remakes of 3 and 4 are cool but I hope they do a 1 and 2 remake at some point because those games actually are the ones that would change a lot compared to their original. Social links alone would change a lot of the structure

Anything big of note in here? I dont really want to watch anymore gameplay i want to savor it

If you use a normal attack on an enemy afflicted with a status ailment, it can knock into other enemies and deal damage/afflict them with the ailment. Baton pass. New prime time feature in battle that seems very OP. Other than that, what you expect like new social link scenes and voice acting

Not sure if it's just because I'm used to the previous voice but Chie sounds terrible
