It’s basically Persona 5 but with
-three new confidants (two new characters and Akechi)
-a cool little trophy room that doesnt affect main story (has stuff like concept art, music, etc.)
-drastic improvements in gameplay mechanics (stealth, guns, mementos actually being useful)
-a third semester thats roughly 30 hours to play
Also all of the original Persona 5 DLC is free for Royal
they let you fuse personas higher than your level when your twins rank is at 5??? wasn't it a maxed out reward in the og? that's crazy

Yeah but s***s expensive
The new max level with the twins discounts the price

so do it make any sense for me to start Persona 5 or should I just buy Persona 5 Royal and start there.

royal, 100%
Dam that madarame boss was annoying on hard smh
actually really liked the changes to the fight, mechanically and thematically (even tho it's just a ripoff of okumura's boss fight)

Id say Royal, the original games plot doesnt change much at all save for the two new confidants showing up for moments. Havent gotten to the third semester yet so i cant say what its like
Okumura's palace is next for me, is it really as bad as everyone says?
palace isn't that bad, though don't remember if anything was changed from the original game. boss fight is a more of a pain in the ass. baton pass & applying buffs/debuffs are your best friends
