Thereās new cutscenes, new features & new mandatory confidants you have to do throughout the game to get to the official DLC so I wouldnāt do that.
If you want to know when the official DLC starts, it starts after the last boss fight of vanilla P5 aka Yaldabaoth
So I canāt skip over major parts of the game I already played? I played it a year ago so the story is pretty fresh in my mind so just donāt feel like putting another 100 hours into it before seeing the changes tbh

You can but I wouldnāt, itās pretty much a different game. I mean thereās the same cutscenes like the awakenings and how you meet your friends & the antagonists. But thereās certain new stuff sprinkled in to some of the scenes in each arc that have to do with DLC and even completely new scenes
Like thereās parts of the prologue intro & the Hawaii school trip thatās different compared to vanilla game for an example

I'd say if you're having any doubts you may as well wait until you're itching to go back.
P5R has new additions that start from the moment you boot up the game and it weaves all of this in in a way that makes it feel natural, that being said at its heart Persona 5 Royal is still Persona 5. If you loved P5 and feel like diving back in, go for it but if you're just curious, I say wait for a Nlack Friday sale or something
Royal is so much better that it makes it hard to even look at footage of the base game. But you'll find it easier to justify the purchase if the game is cheaper and not super fresh in your mind.

Alright I appreciate it, I'll try o go for it but skip up the tempo since I know the main story and how to go about fusions/battling etc now, 5 was my first Persona game and completed 4 last week so had a craving to play royal

Thank you, I'll try to go for it and see how it goes. I was gonna postpone it a bit but at the same time, I kinda wanna play it again already
Man p3 gameplay is dated as hell
Music nice tho, there are some bangers already

it is genuinely my favorite game of all time, so hope you enjoy it man. i personally think the changes made in royal will really help with "replaying" persona 5 again. makes it fresh enough, so i wouldn't stress worry too much.

which version you playing?
FES
ah yeah, makes sense
sucks you can't control your party, though i don't think it affected me TOO much, except for maybe on the final boss.
have fun man. the story and the overall theme of the game is really well done

just finished it, such a good game, few of the characters and social links instantly became some of my favs from the entire series.
enjoy the ride fam
Best p5r and almost immediately replayed it. Even bought all the dlc but damn I gotta chill. They gon port p4 or p3 to switch or ps4? Atlus got me jonesin
I don't even like musous and that demo was amazing.
Watch them release it as a launch title for PS5

I imagine that Persona 4 might get a Switch/PS4 port at some point tbh.

I played Golden on my laptop and it ran it fine with no problem, I just fixed frames at 30 fps (some will say that's not 'fine') plus connected my PS4 controller via USB.
Now i'm just waiting for them to port 3 as well
Akinari from P3 is one of the best social links in the series imo
Rt, maya (for comedic value) and aigis are great as well.
Still can't believe how good the last part of Royal was
Felt like a different game. Literally everything was different from your typical Person 5 vanilla feel which was already great.
That fist fight
Royalās music
