Pharrell for some reason is stubbornly using laptops to make half Neptunes style beats instead of going back to hardware and he’s been doing this weird hybrid style since like 07-08 and completely went full Reason Logic with feds watching or that song he had on big sean first album lol. not in the fuzzy guitar with drum rolls rock n roll type but it's just so layered
