I’m glad Pharrell was there to push him to get a little outside the box. You can clearly hear his influence on every track he produced down to the adlibs and Pusha’s tone of voice

bro this isn’t year one of Kanye west career as a producer, he paid his dues a long ass time ago & his approach has changed

  • Apr 26, 2022

Ur on a kanye west fan forum what do you think

  • Apr 26, 2022

Kanye had bad beats and Pharrell only had two decent beats. Kanye has never made anything that can compete with the greats not even can compete with Pharrell.

I’m not here to compare anything, only to reiterate there are different approaches to being a producer that are all valid, you’re pretty focused on Ye, I’m not…I offered Burial as example, even Brian Eno

  • Apr 26, 2022

    Kanye was more consistent

Man,Dreaming Of The Past is nice but,we just can’t pretend like it wouldn’t be ignored on someone’s SoundCloud page for yrs if Ye’s name wasn’t attached to it. P gave Push some of the best modern production he’s done yet with beats like Neck & Wrist and Brambleton.

You can prefer Ye on this album but don’t act like P looked amateur-ish compared to Ye on IAD.

Go on Soundcloud right now and pick out a Dreaming of the past.

    Scratchin Mamba

Kanye's drums are just as good as any producers when he rly goes in and goes unorthodox, it's just his traditional boom bap beats that aren't always on the same level as other elite producers

The only thing you're right about is that Kanye doesn't play instruments

He plays piano, just not at a professional level.

Kanye is better than Madlib at flipping samples. He will eat up Madlib in a Verzuz using work form 2003- 2005 alone.

S*** from that 2-3 year period he's eating up any producer if you deep it. Those RnB joints >>>>

    Easily the College Dropout.

  • Apr 26, 2022

bro also you talked about 9th v Ye they both spent like 12 years chopping samples & and adding baselines & their signature drums

  • Neck & wrist solid as f***, f*** y’all with the hate.

  • Apr 26, 2022

Still debating whether Kanye is a good producer

  • Apr 26, 2022

The people have spoken, nobody is trying to hear Pharrell's best GarageBand impressions

I mean every producer "plays piano" lol but he's rly not a great keyboardist at all even as somebody who never took lessons or whatever, never rly seen footage of him going crayz on the keys
