SineDoloreI dont believe Virgil had a background in fashion or art in any official capacity when it comes to his education. He actually had to combat this same type of thinking with a lot of his peers looking at him as '' not a real designer''.

I didn’t rewrite anything, there’s a reason Virgil was called an artistic director and Pharrell is called a creative director. Though Virgil didn’t formally train in a school, he still had decades of hands on design practice, outside of being raised by a seamstress, and a degree in architecture

The point you made was that there is a shift going on from trained designers to celebrity creative designers, from Virgil to Pharrell and that many designers aren't happy with it.
I am telling you Virgil was not a trained designer and on top of that the same point was made when he was appointed look at this article for example

Go back and do some research please before just saying things. Virgil went trough a lot of critique and wasnt seen as an official designer. The beauty of his rise and design language comes from that exact fact, he himself likened it to hiphop and sampling.
