TLOP4/Deluxe really top 5 project of the decade for me so far and I been messing with his music since well before it dropped but the most exciting thing he's dropped since then is the tm88 collab. Dont even want to think of the juicy j stuff. I mean I'm happy I got s*** like the cardo collab to always go to, but I just get the feeling he been losing the vision. I know he got it in him but when he tries super left field stuff it just doesn't hit as well as what he does best imo. I'm being unfairly critical though I just can't force myself to enjoy these recent attemptsI get it - I want him to grow as an artist and try out experimental s*** (I mean that’s what got him here to begin with) but I want the sounds that we used to. It feels like he’s barely been producing for other ppl but then he’ll drop fire like the joints on the new nudy album and it’ll give me faith again

I get it - I want him to grow as an artist and try out experimental s*** (I mean that’s what got him here to begin with) but I want the sounds that we used to. It feels like he’s barely been producing for other ppl but then he’ll drop fire like the joints on the new nudy album and it’ll give me faith again
I think personally he gets too faithful to ideas but hes not that creatively gifted at making music. Like truly, its not a bad thing, he has a sound that is perfectly established and its some of the best music out period when he does it... hes not carti though. or someone in that vein, uzi, whoever, he cant just drop some different s*** and it be amazing with ease. and I dont like his music enough to put up with the difference in quality even if i really love his sound. because I love him for that specific sound and would prefer he expand on that
