Ok HOW TF DID GAMESPOT GIVE IT A 7/10.
It was a meme itt until now. Theyre the only major pub that gave it under an 8.
Only way i can see is if they totally ignored the major bulk of the content in game and only did the bare minimum blowing by everything - which only a little is "needed" for area progression but thats mostly just gor actual kids lol.

Idk how the game isn't at least an 8/10. Its technically great as well in terms of framerate, stability & graphics. So even if it isnt your type of thing its still a structurally sound game & one of the most technical impressive games on the Switch.

Game is currently a 9/10 imo but im still playing - its damn near objectively better than every other Pikmin with much more going on. The only difference imo would be on the vibe you like more & I guess nostalgia attachment.

The only downside of the game imo is all the talking in the first area & the slightly tedious introduction - which is new for Pikmin but pretty normal for most Nintendo games including stuff like Zelda & Pokemon. Overexplanation & some hand holding is a Nintendo special.

Also I cant believe I hit 20 hours in a Pikmin game on a first playhtrough, and im not even done with my first playthrough. S***s wild

And yes Pikmin 4 s***s on Pikmin 3 heavily imo, but Pikmin 3 still has the best "vibes" out the series imo.
