what have i done
you probably didnt like alans psychedelic breakfast smh
lmao is that ur fav pf song or what
oh good looking out for the stereo comment i wouldnโt have know any better thank u, been trying to get feedback itt about syd solo albums but nothing, any word from rvi queen? did u got into them?
i think Madcap Laughs and Barrett are both really good, not masterpieces or anything though. I'm not that big on psych folk (yet) but i like the songwriting a lot but i feel like it might not be very approachable for a lot of people, even fans of Piper. and the more rock songs are awesome. really unique atmosphere on both of those albums
I think Barrett is the better of the two, maybe just cuz its a bit less folky/singer/songwritery. Gilmour (and Wright on Barrett) contribute nicely, all the musicians are pretty great. im due for a revisit on both the albums though, havent heard either in full for 2+ years
this is maybe his best solo song imo. dig those keys from wright
fun fact he is backed up by the members of Soft Machine on a few madcap songs. you f*** with them? (or robert wyatt solo) they were in the same scene with the pink floyd in the beginning but they took a very different path. one of my favorite bands (+Robert Wyatt and his solo career). the bands (at least Wyatt) were friends with each other, PF did benefit concerts for Wyatt after he fell out of window and got paralyzed from waist down

yes absolutely, it grew on me even more this year and passed dark side in my rankings. another stone cold psych classic from them and the style is already much different to piper

right? to me it hits the right spot, im going back into it by the sixties psych of pipe didnโt hit as much or felt too bluesy where saucerful brings a more.. modern psychedelic as we know it, maybe it has to do with the songwriter switch, after all like you said syd seem more folk influenced which im not a fan of, but def going back after reading your post about it ๐ค
