dude went upside down
i can see someone hating that song though. i liked it but its definitely ugly and sticks out like a sore thumb
Yall listen to david or rogers solo discography?
@RVI have u?
i flew over some over the years, some more than others
rogers first solo “the pros and cons of hitchhiking” was made same time as the wall - he basically offered the band to pick either hitchhiking or the wall
so that one sounds pretty similar iirc
then david, he started before, i think his first solo is in 78? there’s this song i kept that is great, should’ve been on animals imo to balance out the pro roger songs more
but to make it short basically both of their catalogues sounds what they did with pf when each took over: roger solo albums are all 100% like the final cut, and davids albums are more or less all like the division bell (at least the one i recall the most that is “on an island” i believe)
hbu?

of all things from that album?
altho yeh that makes sense like if we talking as the album concept n experience sonic etc
but I fail to see how the universally lauded classic Wish You Were Here is any less "tainted" by his direction.
@RVI did u finish it? what’s ur new take on it or where you rank it
need to listen more and mayb pay attention to the lyrics but it ranks last besides the post Waters ones which i havent even heard in full yet
7/10 maybe

Yeah i listened to the pros and cons and actually really liked it, dont really ever revisit it but i liked the sounds. Sexual revolution is my favorite off it
Also peeped davids self titled and wasnt a big fan of it but saved a few songs off it like no way, raise my rent, so far away, cry from the street and theres no way out of here

if you rock with that roger stuff he did a new one recently (“recently” as in 2017 but it was his first since the 90s so u know what i mean) that calls back a LOT to the wall
agree on the david album tho, feel like people usually like on island most
also i know nick mason did some albums but never tried it tho, am super skeptical of drummers going solo lol only one dude pulled that off so far
haha glad my post bullied u into it then
nah it didnt, was needing to revisit anyway since i have been listening to the wall and liking it more than before. still dont love wall but there are a few amazing songs for sure. ranks below everything before it though
