Pitchfork writes reviews that try to be in line with what the general public thinks. People were against frat rap in 2011 and look how Pitchfork f***ing TRASHED Mac's album

Two years later they give WMWTSO a 7/10 because it's not cool to hate Mac anymore.

A good baseline for how p4k reviews rap albums is the Gunna/Baby/Durk/Future collective. They've pretty much dropped the same albums for years and they get a 6 or a 7 every time. Not to hone in on Gunna but ds4ever was a weak ass album and it still got a 5.

If Twitter didn't dog pile Jack p4k would have given it a 6 and no one would have cared.

yeah I’ll see if I can find some links or songs where he alluded to it. it was what got him into lean and then heavier opioids. stress from his tour and the crush of having an extremely panned album. it’s what led to Macadelic being made
