Trading in my 4a for a 6a. Hoping to get at least $200 off. My 4a is scuffed up and have scratches so we shall see.
How did that go
I had some chocolate melt on my bottom speaker grill now the ringtone is muffled & the mic when I'm on a phone call is f***ed but both speakers work as normal when consuming media
So this is weird & annoying
I'll just keep it how it is until I get a new phone maybe in the winter or something
If anyone got any ringtone help, much appreciated, but I found out Google does the ringtones on the bottom speaker only which just my luck
Were you able to find a solution to this?
I had something similar happen (coconut oil in my case) and my speakers work no problem just like yours but my mic is muffled as s*** when I try to make phone/video calls and people can't hear me talking

@jesomo
that is f***ed
ive had a few people tell me they cant hear me on the phone, think it could just be a s***ty mic
but only thing i can think to clean it off is maybe some compressed air?
i know once i had some dust in the speaker grill, playing music full max actually pushed a lot of it out

Now Iām on 13 mini
The Pixel was great easily couldāve lasted more than this year
It was just bad luck

yo u might want to try slightly heating the area you are tryna clean maybe
im just saying bc it could have heated up and liquified and gotten through the grate but it could have hardened a bit depending on the temperature
this jus an observation bc ive had a jar of coconut oil that is like p much all liquid in summer but hardens completely during like winter lol
maybe like a hair dryer on the lowest temp or something

was using a pixel 2 xl as a burner phone but it was starting to show its age so i ended up buying a pixel 6a. it just came in today and i missed using a small phone, this s*** is so comfy performs great too so far
Traded in my 4a for a 7 pro. Did not know how bigger this thing is. Gives my fingers a workout holding it
Google's I/O event today just further proved when iMessage eventually gets toppled, iPhones will look like an absolute joke. Can't wait until I can get rid of mine
Google is about to s*** on everyone with how they are going to change the game with AI.

after like 2 week or so with this i gotta say, this phone is a steal for its price tag
the battery life on this phone is crazy, i can pretty much go close to a whole day without having to charge it. the standby time for it is also good too, i love my galaxy fold 3 but its battery life isnt even as close as good as this phones battery and i paid way more for it.
also haven't experienced any lag or hiccups on it so far. the build quality for this is surprisingly good too, it feels super light but doesnt feel like a budget phone at all despite having a plastic back. whatever frosted material they put on the back really makes it feel premium almost.
im not the biggest fan of google ui as it feels way too iphone-ish or the look of the notification bar on android 13 but this is a secondary phone for me so its whatever. not a big camera taker but the camera quality is quite good too (pic of some breakfast i made)
definitely jump on this phone if you're thinking about copping. especially if you can find it for way less than retail like i did ($185).

Way too much got revealed (it was like an hour+ of non stop crazy ai developments theyāre working on ā it wasnāt just one or two big things) for me to summarize in one post. You should just search up a recap of the event tbh.

What's the top line takeaway for how Google will topple iMessage?
Edit: You're taking about Bard?

I think you misread my post ā they didnāt talk about anything in terms of how theyāll topple iMessage at this event.
My post said that WHEN they do figure out a way (or thereās some other technology development that renders iMessageās exclusivity meaningless), Google will be so far ahead in every other metric that Apple wonāt stand a chance against them.

No shade, but I feel like Google/Android has literally been saying this since 2011
Anyone got/getting the fold
Want one so bad but that price is nuts
just gonna wait to get the 8 tbh.

no one in europe uses imessage and apple is still on top u trippin

I'm either waiting for an 8, 8a, or fold 2. Don't really feeling like getting something asap. 6 still performs perfectly. Besides the battery but that's due to a stupid app my employer is making us use

Lmao Iām assuming you live in Europe, but Iām also assuming from your post that when you say āApple is on topā you must just mean based among the people you know, cause this is FAR from reality of the entire population in Europe
