Doolittle was originally my fave (as I’d imagine with most people)

Then I got into bossanova and surfer Rosa

And then when I got into trompe Le monde that s*** solidified itself as peak pixies experience for me

doolittle is their nevermind imo you get the most pop hooks and production but still get a good idea of their quirky ness that you suspect lies more outside of this album

surfer rosa is like their bleach how it’s more raw and you ge my the full weird picture of the band, no filters

bossanova just clicked more with me bc im obsessed with surf music as much as frank and joey were making this so it’s a blast

trompe le monde wasn’t instant on me because of the production but it grew on me and it’s my fav now it’s such a unique album

I feel like trompe le monde is what you get if you put surfer rosa in a space ship and launch it into outer space

i can see that, it definitely sounds spacey! love that the bossanova style comes back in it too thot he navajo song so underrated
