    Plus the rumors that this isn't even the version of the album we were supposed to get. OG versions of tracks already being leaked

    Well it's the same situation as EA where the actual title of the album took on a life of it's own and fans were watching the creative process in real time as versions of songs and albums were scrapped

    This "WLR" isn't really "WLR" - it's just a Playboi Carti album, just as EA wasn't EA it was a rushed mess put out under that title to sell a f***load

    This sounds stupid as f*** but hopefully you know what I mean

    Kind of like if you moved the LA Lakers to Seattle and changed the whole roster overnight whilst still trying to call them the LA Lakers

    Yeah it's a combination of being disappointed by huge amounts of hype (around those tiktok snippets), bandwagoning and the fact that negative comments get more attention than positive ones

    I think neither Uzi or Carti would feel comfortable dropping “EA” or “WLR” if they weren’t exactly that

    I don't agree, if the album was easier to swallow / good / whatever (let's not get hung up on individual opinions) it would have gotten a good reception

    Astroworld was hyped the exact same, did the job and got nothing but love. I don't think people go into it wanting to be negative, but once the memes and spin cycle take hold there's no stopping it

    A lil uzi album dropped in March 2020 not named Eternal Atake is not selling 290k first week

    It's a business decision for hype and visibility

    Exactly right, great point. Hytunes either leaked or got sent to the scrap heap. Thug didn't pursue it (wasn't made to) because that name hadn't built up hype / infamy yet. Complete opposite to what I'm talking about

    Hard to say what are the best tracks but maybe go from Vamp Anthem or Sky. A lot of people like the second half more
