    What other modern day artist has had the amount of influence he’s had on rap culture?

    He’s only 3 albums in, and everytime he drops, everyone wanting to steal his swag, and image.

    Drake, Cole, & Kendrick may be top 3, but who really copying them like Carti?

    It's hard to copy Drake, Cole and Kendrick since they all have raw talent in bounds and that's hard to copy, as much as yall may try to minimize that. They also have the networks to back them up. To get an edge you need to push and fight your angle in another way

    even went over this exact topic in a previous thread where i pointed out SGP already had the VAMP aesthetic and was already making trap with weird delivery on it w/ his vocals

    F1THY even said he took influence from SGP, it just doesn’t matter, it has to be new and groundbreaking so they can fully invest into Carti as this enigmatic artist (while s***ting on other artists who actually are full on experimental)

    I’m saying Cartis production is very minimalist to me. Not really referring to the quality of it or whether it’s average or extraordinary, I think production can be very simple and fundamental and still be extraordinary
