also ...damn 28 years ago....i feel old af rn. feels like yesterday I was picking up metal gear solid with a dualshock controller. or falling in love with weird amazing games like brace fencer musashi. dancing my ass of in bust a groove....games really dont hit the same as they did during the dawn of 3d home console gaming. i feel like the limitations inspired creative solutions, instead of now we can just throw pretty graphics and polish a turd for sales ignoring why games are fun....the creativty in interaction.
Bruh I feel old af too. Man I used to get so hyped getting a playstation magazine with a demo disc and play them over and over again. Also I miss cheats that added ridiculous things to games. Your last point is facts...all these open world games feel boring af and similar.

If we talking OG PlayStation, then probably the first Crash or Spyro game or the Rugrats game on there
Never owned it but I would play them at my cousins house so the PS1 was always mythical cus I never owned it

Tomba man. I think that was the first game for me too. I tried to play on PS3 to relive the memory of playing it, but I got bamboozled with a Japanese port with no English. Lol

and a good memory My parents couldn't afford a playstation so I was playing the sega mega drive until probably closer to the end of the ps1 life cycle and that's when my parents got me a PS1 with Tekken 3 bundle
I used to spend hours scrolling through the hand book reading about each character. Miss those daysYeah hit me with the rest of your console game breakdown...would be a good thread to see what consoles people had until now
Yeah man and I had a N64 as well so oh man I am grateful even though some aspects of my life was kinda tough back then but other than that yeah good times man and I'll always remember all of the positive stuff and be grateful for what I was blessed with
Oh yeah I did always check out the disc (CD) itself and the game manuals and if it came with a demo disc (CD) and read the manuals of course and also check the back of the game thing you got the disc (CD) with to know more about the game... Man I wanna go back to the 90's tbh... But still we gotta enjoy what we got now in these current times as I've also had some good memories with the PS2, PS3 and even yes the PS4 and well now... Hopefully the PS5 some time in 2023
