We know they got stuff in the tuck they should've shown us
Jim Ryan hates reasonable marketing though
Yeah I don't get this. Unless Sony saved it for something else like the Summer Game Fest 2023 or a State of Play or both... Which still sucks. But man it is what it is... I wonder what's up with Sony since that Horizon: Forbidden West DLC. I really hope it won't keep been this way as they need to show all of the good stuff that's ready to be shown ASAP! :/

Marketing has been odd for a while now really. The Playstation is selling so Jim Ryan doing his job and making them money, but I wish they weren't being so mysterious

Question #1: Name a billionaire who needs a spanking.
This marketing is so embarrassing, there's really nothing that can't be co-opted by a corporation

Yeah because it's not a good idea to do stuff this way... I hope whatever is next will be better than this PlayStation Showcase 2023.

Sony providing games is something i'm NOT worried about.
I expect after FFXVI but before Spider-Man 2 we'll get some good news.

I hope so... Or after Spider-Man 2 is out at least.

In my opinion, that would be unacceptable. That's essentially leaving things as is until 2024.
I doubt Project Q will launch in Nov and Spider-Man 2 being the only new game out.
Idk, I can't really get my d*** in a knot like some people tbh it's just too many games we know they are working on for me to be bothered. I have plenty games to play atm.
The PS5 Switch is absolutely insane 😂
I can’t get over it
“Let’s get a Switch screen put some PS5 controller handles on it”
steam deck and handheld pc gaming on the rise, switch still selling....a vita 2 could have rocked this industry if done right....instead we get this s*** that my phone already does just fine.
Sony made the right call be not focusing on handheld poverty games
As long as Nintendo still swinging d***, that lane is occupied.

True, I just feel there's no need for dedicated Sony handheld when their PC ports are getting steam deck verified too

Right, Idk what they are thinking. Remote play is already on phones, tablets, PC. etc...& like you say, ports on steam deck. Seems like a waste of time. Everything has to be proprietary with them
Fully expecting it to be between $250-$300.
Real s*** though there were a lot of AA/indie games that showed up here that I'm definitely interested in. Should've just been a State of Play
Thoughts?
I know it’s true lol

They don’t need to do much of anything they are moving units and their fans are beyond loyal

Agreed... But I think Sony will be doing another State of Play but not until August 2023 or September 2023 as I don't see them doing another PlayStation Show unfortunately until maybe Q2 2024 or Q3 2024. But they better show us more stuff during 2023 besides the Final Fantasy XVI and Spider-Man 2 stuff :/
@ShintaroKago The sad thing is... That's true. But that gotta chance though. And I hope this "Live-service" games thing doesn't take over as I couldn't care less about it. I like some of the online stuff but not enough to see Sony focus on it more than what they usually do which is the single-player stuff

That PlayStation q thing is definitely something to please investors lmfao, mfs saw the switch and steam deck and pressured Sony to get something like that out as well, so they did the bare minimum
Im more questioning their approach to VR, like whats the endgoal here?
They drop their 2/3 first party games, the same 3rd party games and leave that s*** to die

End goal mode sales than vr1 and support long enough to not get bad press

Selling more than psvr1 isnt enough of a success to want to invest in that technology, and you can see that by their half assed approach to it. They spent 10 minutes out of 75 to that thing, with the usual VR games announced. Thats why im dumbfounded - it feels like a waste of money and time the way they're treating it, and they dont even have an apparent incentive to pursue that technology in 2023 yet so why bother

I am saying I think they were already invested perhaps precovid but definitely pre recession

That to me feels dumb too cause ps vr1 was only successful if you compare it to other VR devices, so not so much. Its just too early for VR right now, there was no need to invest in it if you're treating it like the virtual boy, just let it go until the time is right
