"It seem like the people that combat that best are the people that don't drop or feature you down for years" (referencing Cardi and 21)
yeah i guess they need to pump it up
But nah seriously lmfaoo.
I feel like it's also these rappers don't really have music that can really last them many years as well.
Like Gunna might have hit of the summer right now, but let's see if peeps will still check his music a 1-2 decades from now.
in the tiktok age where attention spans are shorter than ever, people can’t sit though a 2 hour movie anymore, you mean to tell me that rappers are having very short hot reigns?! 😱😱

21 isn't the Hottest rapper out
he's just a rapper that stays in his lane and doesn't try to do too much extra
you hardly see 21 Savage if it's not about music

he was arguably never top 10 hottest in any year
Durk did 100k first week lol why is he in that photo
lil baby did even more and he in it 🤣
he was arguably never top 10 hottest in any year
eh
he was top 10 when he first came out
Savage mode was running the game in terms of rap releases
Rappers are competing for the next viral moment instead of making groundbreaking, influential music.
It’s the reason why rappers come and go quickly because after the moment passes and the music doesn’t hold up, they end up falling off.
eh

He was top 10 when he came out but not in 2022? That was by far his biggest year lol
Durk did 100k first week lol why is he in that photo
people still listened to it but a lot of people are getting over him and you can tell
album plummeted like a rock and carried by that one J. Cole song
Morgan Wallen collabs are basically his hail mary
a lot of rappers just have shorter shelf lives unless you’re some s tier generational name and a lot of rap fans just don’t get it
After you become "hot" you have a limited window to drop a classic album or change your sound. Otherwise poeple just look at you as mainstream rapper #483457

https://twitter.com/mfdoomstan1/status/1686420790256848899i don't get this tweet, these rappers are not comparable in the slightest
21 has been around for like 8 years and cemented his spot at this point vs roddy who was hot for a couple years vs cordae who is a more niche artist
I just think the idea of a centralized rap game of some established hierarchy is more or less over in combination with artists that rarely have organic development and rise to fame (to no fault of their own it’s just how it is these days) so you basically get catapulted to stardom without the pedigree of establishing yourself so you’re always prone to burn out by way of the next new thing

outside of the Drake album, what in 2022 made him top 10 hot rappers?
outside of the Drake album, what in 2022 made him top 10 hot rappers?
Outside of what made him top 10 most popping what made him top 10 most popping? Are you serious?
And even still he had a crazy ass feature run, he objectively was bigger in 2022 than 2016
