That just proves how big of a flop it is. That s*** came directly after the most Iconic gen 1 and almost none of these pokemon are cool
Talking out your ass, the starters, legendaries, eeveelutions, steel types and babies are iconic let alone the other miscellaneous bangers

starters are classic
noctowl classic from the anime
best legendaries in the series in the dogs, celebi, hooh and lugia
tyranitar classic pseudolegendary
classic eeveelutions, if we being real - the best eeveelutions in the series
even the filler pokemon such as spinarak or pineco are classic because of the anime
and you have tough mfs such as steelix, crobat or scizor, dis truly the best gen when it comes to design tbh

They added Eviolite, Assault Vest and hidden abilities and all those Pokémon became elite
