Oh that’s prob cause you can do the 1k battles to complete a lot of it and leave some undone as long as you do that one first not last
How fun is it to explore a big city as opposed to the nature and wilderness of the previous games? Is it still fun or do you feel like the lack of a natural setting is a significant omission? Are the buildings mostly static or can you actually enter most of them or are you mostly just up on the rooftops?
Some of these side quests really are just Yakuza substories
The cult of starmie quest
Im f***ing howling

I love both for different reasons tbh. The wild, open, unknown frontiers of arceus were such a pleasure to explore. I truly love how they crafted an environment that was hostile and opaque compared to what you as the player knew at the time, and that feeling probably won’t be recreated in any future Pokemon game tbh. In comparison, the highly structured but carefully planned (the rooftops basically function as the routes in the OG games) level design and emphasis on combat, which I greatly appreciate, give Z-A it’s own approach which is much more reminiscent of traditional Pokemon games of the past while still remaining distinct due to the new battle system (ymmv)
Both games share some throughlines (catching system, player freedom, experimental nature) but tbh at this point I can’t recommend one over the other and that’s a blessing
two top-tier pokemon games released within the past few years and they’re two truly distinct games, both are easily worth playing. Most buildings are static though to answer your last question, but the city is still highly explorable regardless

Nice man. I see. Thanks for the info!

The city is way more fun to explore at the start, it feels structured in a way to let you find rare Pokemon on rooftops and hidden away in corners. But the whole city looking the same really leaves you wanting more very early on
Though you do unlock more wild zones as you play. They're a lot of fun to explore and can be very hostile later on but they are smaller
Anyone down to trade my shiny Haunter back to get a Gengar? I have most of the dex done, so I can trade just about anything if there's a specific Pokemon you want. Also have a shiny Litleo, Vivillon, or Flabebe if anyone wanted one of those.

I think I saw people say it's 2 weeks long? All your mons scale to lvl 50 and you can just kinda hop in whenever you want. You don't lose rank when you lose and apparently it's pretty easy to get the rank required for the Greninja mega stone.
Cannot lie, the music in this game has been pretty unreal, especially for a Pokemon game. I wanna link a few trainer themes but don't want to spoil anyone. S***'s so good man

Damn lmao. I got to 50 by accident during team building practice. Clutching it so hard seeing all the chance gimmicks each round, mad fun, adapting.
Come to find out the 50th match removes all status moves, abilities and items completely killing my strat and leaving my team helpless against this

Now i gotta do it all over again and build a new team specifically for her. Mad fun, love this facility, but that was some bullshit lmao.
I was playing NatDex btw so that Lati is a mega
