Harrison handle most of the project, good news, i think i like his beats more than evilgiane

damn love harrison but i was hoping for way more earl x evilgiane i can’t lie:(

    Evilgiane x djh sounds incredible

    CGI Dog

im not too familiar with surf gang but i want more like Earth

  • need harrison to be on this type of timing again

give me at least one beat like this on the tape

    my favorite veeze song honestly

  • beflygelt

happy to see there's Earl co-prod at least on 5 tracks too, and Anysia track is one of them

Harrison is brilliant for sure and I did notice he's often behind standout SG tracks. I think this is the first time since the John Glacier tape that I see him dominating the credits like that. it is a fav, but that was a short EP and this is a long album.

no reason to doubt him but it'll be interesting to see how he handles it.

Broo i was wondering if he'd have some production thank god

  • Jumanji has this sample chop that mike did and then tony did the rest of the beat i hope theres some s*** like that on here with both styles

  • Earl with that alien language flow

  • My dog looking at me like he knows what Earl said it might be legendary

  • Tony Seltzer and Loukeman production on the album (amongst others), sick

  • they couldve got zelooperz and wiki on a track or two idk

MIKE & Earl interview with The Face https://theface.com/music/earl-sweatshirt-mike-surf-gang-interview-utility-pompeii-album

MIKE: I got a funny theory. When we first posted the Pompeii //Utility s***, I feel like n***as were like “Yo, bro.” Like they had a spiritual awakening. Then they saw the Surf Gang s***, and half the fanbase was like, “Aight. We out.”

Earl Sweatshirt: I told you, bro. The “real hip-hop” fans are about to be off. To some people this might be the weakest s*** we’ve ever dropped. Both burst out laughing

That’s mad corny honestly. I’m black and didn’t care for the singles. So what now? You gotta be black to like it? So what if someone is white who likes it (like a few people itt)? Just a dumb ass way to think honestly.

Nigga what? Lmao they were very obviously talking about the certain kind of fan that praises loops and looks down on any form of trap music/drums. That's the whole joke. And the white underground hip hop heads are overwhelmingly the type who do that. They've been very outspoken about hating them niggas in the past. That whole scene has.
