Most these songs are still hip hop adjacent tho, Kid LAROI/Lizzo/Doja/Nas X are all heavily influenced by hip hop and kinda rap sometimes and the Dua song has DaBaby on it. Hip hop still dominating the charts even when it’s not

And that rappers don't have hits anymore. Not even the big ones. I can only think about that Polo G track and Cardi's WAP.

Drake will obviously change that. But I don't think a surprise release would give him huge hits, so he better restart the album rollout.

yall can thank Drill taking over Hip hop for that

nobody wants to dance to that s***

Aside from 2002-2005 and 2015-2018, rap was never that oversaturated on the radio. This is a very normal process.

Even in the 90's, many classic rap albums didn't have top 5 or top 10 hits(See: Illmatic, The Infamous, IDAHIH, 2001, Death Certificate, etc.)

Rap not being oversaturated on the radio doesn't mean jack in the grand scheme of things.

Edit: And everyone here loves the "Blog Era" but that was specifically the era where Pop and EDM totally dominated the radio which is further proof that Rap can be in a great place without dominating the radio too much.

Nah the bad boy era, ja rule , 50 era jay era had tons of hits

these new rappers cant make a hit to save their life

thats why drake gotta leave the drill alone on clb

I think it's just harder to make a trap/drill hit. Even Pop and Sosa were singing.

It's nice, and the drill remix is kinda cool. He dropped a fun record and it's working as expected.

The worst track there is Lizzo's
