Gonna have to spin this some more to see how I really feel bout it but that's how Mavi albums usually go for me
Ended up listening to the whole project
It’s cool, I like it a bit more than the last one. Gotta run it back and find my favorites, all the songs around the same level of quality
Hope bro is doing well mentally, seems like he’s been unpacking a lot on these last 2 projects. Respect the vulnerability. Would love to hear a straight rap album from him with a dash of his soulful/melodic type records. I don’t mind the singing/harmonizing tracks just not my favorite sound from him. The lyrics are there but I think he needs more refinement as a songwriter imo

His last two albums have been straight rap?
He replied to one of the comments saying he has a whole tape with monte
Only listened to first two songs but wasn't feeling the vibe at the time. Ill have to go back to this at a later point when I'm in the right mood for it.
I really liked his previous album, maybe more than Let The Sun Talk.
Hes also a great live performer with great breath control. I've seen him live twice.

First two songs are sleepers but after that it’s his best work

it ended and i just wanna run it back. so i'm gonna run it back.

It's incredible
this not doing it for me
I bet he proud of this here
Its pretty significant
second listen is hitting
still think the production is the weaker link but yeah it's hitting
this was rly solid, first rippity rap album I've found engaging in a while. "I don't think failure scare me as much as my talent" >.<
def a step up from last album but still don't quite feel that same hunger and energy from let the sun talk and loosies around then tbh

yh beats still feel kinda uninspired tbh. like the jazzy smooth sound is nice but it's such a safe route. def feels like he's going for accessibility rather than actually pushing sonics which is a shame since he started out w all those glitchy slums beats
