Can you give me albums that sounds like Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino. One of my fav albums of all time probably the most underrated too.

    The concept >>>>
    The atmosphere >>>>
The lil electronic spacey sounds mixed with the jazzy quirks >>>>
The hypnotic delivery and lyrics of Alex Turner >>>>

    10/10 album

i would suggest off top of my head:

alt j - this is all yours
my morning jacket - tennessee fire
melody prochet - melody echo chamber
    true widow - circumambulation
war on d**** - lost in the dream
    the antlers - hospice
king krule - 6feet beneath the moon
    beach house - depression cherry
    darkside - psychic

HM: la femme - psycho tropical berlin (its language is not english its french but its vibes are a perfect a***ogue to Arctic Monkeys)

these ones have that dreamy and saturated sound while also having that kind of "twang" ring to it

i also suggest this which is a deep cut - it blew up on bandcamp and was the band's first release but they broke up right away after it released, one of my personal faves and its less than 20mins:

    Taste! Mine as well

Wish deerhunter would blow up on TikTok so they could know how appreciated they are. Bradford and Lockett are some of the best songwriters of the 21st century, their brand of melancholic, hazy guitar music was so good and fits right in with what’s popular in 2025

Tranquility base hotel and casino used to be my favorite rock album , it makes me queasy now for many reasons but the main being how try hard British coded it is, sounds like it should be played at the pub before a shag

i like it although its not my fav arctic monkey

i do remember how hyped it was tho, but i think it was a good effort at trying to have a middleground of their more traditional sounds and their more mainstream sounds

Blue baby one of the greatest songs

    legit zero skips

milk, moth rock, blue baby, great alligator… one of these songs being on an album would be incredible... but all of these on a debut? astonishing tbh

    classic, shouldve went triple

i remember it was such a hidden gem back in the day too and a "indie head" deep classic - cant believe it took her forever to finally do another project after that cult classic

i was fiending for anything remotely similar to beach house bloom in 2012 which is what made me fall in love with 2010s indie rock that led me to ish like melody, washed out, tame impala, bon iver, fleet foxes etc

just like what james blake's self titled did to me in 2011 for alt/indie electronic music that led me to ish like fka twigs, mount kimbie, sampha, woodkid, nicolas jaar etc.

    2010s era is GOAT man
