“There’s great hip-hop songs where they talk about life and they spit that real s***, but right now, there’s not a lot of people talking about s***."
Why leave out the rest of the quote.. I wonder.
Cus it doesn’t change what he said at all. I don’t even think he could name one of those “great hip hop songs” lmao. “Spit that real s***”
Profited from the culture, s***ted on the culture, now leaves the culture. What does that make him?
A no good, musty, two-bit thieving, yellow-belly CRACKER ASS VULTURE
He saw Morgan Wallen become one of the biggest artists of the decade after getting backlash for saying racist s*** when he was drunk and thought you know what
"His stage name was derived from inputting his birth name into a rap name generator"
Kinda sums it up. He never had an organic spot in rap at all. He was making country and folk covers as a kid. He saw that he got some success from making another cultures music. Disrespected it the entire time. When the success that came with making rap slowed down he stopped. Now he is trying to make the culture that he ate off of look bad again to appeal to a new country audience.

Bruises too real wtf ..

Sounds like every other old head/real rap take on the genre in 2016
Great he found acceptance in the Country genre. And he left Hiphop at a great time
Sounds like every other old head/real rap take on the genre in 2016
You can’t take something out of the context it was said to try and make it better. It’s a vulture trying to lessen the impact of a racist statement, not an old head commenting on the state of a genre they experienced their whole life

"But whenever I’m trying to have a good time and stay in a positive mood, I listen to hip-hop because it’s fun. I think hip-hop is important because it brings people together in a beautiful, happy way. Everybody’s happy.”"
Yeah, saying hiphop brings everyone together is some racist statement. 😭 Why are you mad I asked that user to post the full quote?

If you can’t see that as being a way of lessening what he was actually saying I can’t help you. Positing hip hop as nothing but fun music cus it doesn’t have any real substance is not a positive statement dumbass. “Everybody’s happy”

Meanwhile he literally says... "There’s great hip-hop songs where they talk about life and they spit that real s***"
Obviously you can't read past a headline. Quit replying to me lmfao.

meanwhile
The guy disrespected rap to praise Bob Dylan and then when he stopped making rap hits immediately transitioned to country
He is no victim
Hopefully someone says this to him. I’m getting sick and tired of him.
I know you’re slow but the post you first replied to was me acknowledging that comment
And yet you instantly forgot it because how do you read that then go and say he's positioning hiphop ONLY as fun music...
Like sure 22 is young
But it's old enough to have the self awareness to know that maybe you shouldn't disrespect the culture you are profiting from to praise an old white folk artist
I'm sure turning to alcohol is easier than accepting accountability for your words or actions but like that doesn't make me feel too bad for him
