TPAB. People say the 2pac interview is corny and in hindsight maybe it is but I shed a tear first time listening to that, no so much sad tears as wow what is this tears

Played TPAB back a few days ago, I started to get emotional when "u" came on and a few songs since
Sometimes it's not just the lyrical content but the music is just so beautiful it makes me feel
Even after many listens I still find new musical details in there that's so cool
Puce Mary's the Drought, Pharmakon's Bestial Burden, Arca's Entranas had that effect on me
Never heard of those first two bands, gonna check them out for sure brodie
In Utero is another one. I had only heard the greatest hits comp which I was listening to every day for a while. I wasn't prepared for In Utero. First time I heard Scentless Apprentice I was kinda disgusted but also very intrigued. I had never heard anything that raw before.

Milk me goes HARD
Also I forgot that on my first time but
Also got high on my first Blonde listen and cried when I got to the part when he says..
“I’d doo anythiing for you... in the dark...”
I was going through the breakup with my first love of 10 years at the time
When I looked at the cover and realized he was crying and that he’d intentionally made the album to invoke people to be moved to tears I was torn to pieces
Then I slowly came to realize he was singing about the exact situation I was in in the first place...
That’s when I realized Frank was a musical genius and I’d been a fan of his since NU.

U is another one that stopped me dead in my tracks. I don't think it was first listen because there's so much going on musically I struggled with the lyrics. But as soon as I knew what he was saying it f***ed me up.
You're right though, the music is so beautiful too.

most important one for me is prolly young marble giants's colossal youth, i remember losing it in the school library. 'great music can be this minimal.' been a postpunk head ever since
Listened to MBDTF while out on a dock in the middle of summer with a full moon. Best night ever, felt the emotion. Landscapes and music go hand in hand for me
One time I was in Liverpool and listened to Revolver for the first time, all their references and song titles were in front of my eyes, ‘twas kinda cool
