I’ve been going back to listen to the Teedra Moses mixtapes that you can’t even find on streaming. I have the downloaded MP3’s and YouTube bookmarks.

    Those are 20+ years old.

I’m not listening to them because they’re popular. They’re incredible artistic works from one of the most under appreciated and underrated artists of the 21st century. And she wrote ALL of that herself.

…Drake has forced even a super-fan like me to really re-assess what I’ve been forced to tolerate for years on his creative output.

No. I dont want to listen to FATD. I barely return to $$$4U because of the autotune and immaturity.

    Just give me SOMETHING bro…

    …or its over.

I agree, and as sad as it might be, I think you maturing and your taste maturing is a good thing, we are at this point when it comes to media because people have been tolerating slop way too much

drake has a line about his dad on 4PM in Calabasas song... they keep telling drake how to move like a rapper who's less successful than him...

but you should log off. this will be my last post today. at the end of the day Drake's playboy persona makes people feel insecure probably because they've had or have struggles with dating. it's not worth engaging.

only reason i even use KTT2 rn is because i've fallen on hard times and spend most of my time alone.

it's funny tho. Kanye fans and Drake fans talk about so many songs and their emotional connection with them, to the point where even if you didn't listen to Kanye or Drake you'd still know them. and you don't get that with Kendrick. his fans don't really talk about his discography in details, just how certain albums are classics... like even if you've never heard MBDTF, you'd still know a song like Monster because of how much people discuss Nicki and Jay's verses.

like when this girl i'd been friends for a year with started to fw me. the moment the vibe shifted was when i quoted "what's a black beatle anyway, a f***in roach." and then we spent the rest of the day going back and forth with "Can we get much higher."

no one is doing that with a f***ing kendrick song.

People do it with Kendrick lmao me & my friends used to quote ā€œhit em with the shenanigans?ā€ skit off GKMC all the time

I’m a near peer and I can’t keep lying to myself about the perpetual disappointment anymore.

Drake should be putting us on game about how he invests his money and what types of wool sweaters he likes or how his dinner is cooked. Lifestyle s***.

Larry June is delivering on this angle though, so … now we have to suffer through stripper tales.

What is your favorite part of the song?

Was his voice in tune? the instrumentals? The lyrics? The theme?

    Explain it to me.

Drake can't do interviews because of the literal landmines out there about the writing, the ā€œallegationsā€ from all stripes, and the identity crisis issues out there.

I’m convinced thats why he doesn’t do more sit downs. It’s not cause he sees himself as Beyonce or Hov. It’s that he can’t be faced with certain questions on the record.

That lil nigga lost his mind

Im married and quote Kendrick with my wife and talk his discography with my niggas all the damn time, he isn’t one of the greatest of all time because nobody likes his albums

But I’ll take it easy on him, his hard times and loneliness might be causing him to project a bit

I agree. I don’t think we’ll get that but honestly delaying the album could be a blessing in disguise. Like I want to hear what he has to say regarding the beef but atp not really interested in shots or whatever like would much rather just focus on him having fun making a project again

Heres an example of what I’m talking about. He completely shat the bed on this:

TERRIBLE vocals. Just RAP the goddamn verse. Stop trying to ā€œsing outā€ the verse.

And the autotune???? Does he think if he just does what the kids do, he’ll ā€œlandā€ one they’ll like?

Bruh just be the OG damn rapper. He doesn’t even sound comfortable with HIS VOICE.

Thats why this didn’t go where it should have. This was a good verse…but he just kept doing all this weird add ons to the verse.

Do you know what a thought-terminating-cliche is?

It’s this red herring deployed to distract form the original critique.

What does this have to do with the quality of the music?

If anything, I feel guilty for liking everyone else’s music over his lately given my years of investment in desiring the quality that has increasingly seemed irreparably elusive…
