Completely agree. Drake seems to have just skipped a whole cycle where he could’ve dropped that “1-on-1 conversation” he promised.
It’s been my guess for a while he isn’t dropping until legal work with UMG is settled. And both Drake & UMG are playing hardball, because they probably should’ve settled a while ago.

Yeah I dont think his career is over by any stretch if the album is bad. His back catalogue still does so well on the charts. If there aren’t any songs on Iceman that ppl hold onto (which I highly doubt will be the case) then something will shift.

I dont think he’s reached that point yet. Iceman is a good challenge for him considering his state of affairs in the game. He needed it. He’s kinda been on autopilot in the 2020’s, apart from a few gems here and there

I think since Views it’s been more about money.
I feel you. I do think he’s kinda been on autopilot in the 2020’s. Maybe got too into the streaming game with these long ass albums. But he’s also still very much capable when he’s inspired. We’ve still seen flashes of it since Views. For me it was scorpion, her loss, hnvm.
I do believe he’s very inspired right now, even though I havent enjoyed a lot of the iceman leaks. I just got a feeling this moment will bring something special out of him. We’ll see…
