I feel you. I do think he’s kinda been on autopilot in the 2020’s. Maybe got too into the streaming game with these long ass albums. But he’s also still very much capable when he’s inspired. We’ve still seen flashes of it since Views. For me it was scorpion, her loss, hnvm.

I do believe he’s very inspired right now, even though I havent enjoyed a lot of the iceman leaks. I just got a feeling this moment will bring something special out of him. We’ll see…

Streaming has definitely been a part of it. He’s the king of streams.

He has it in him. He’s made incredible music before. But it’s been AWHILE

    True.

You’re saying after the ass whipping he has something to prove

I hope he’s been bullied into good music for all of our sake.

    😂😂😂

Yeah pretty much. I do think he is more motivated now more than ever

    Hope so

He has to be vulnerable and REAL about that battle. I get that ppl are “over it”, but Drake is the vulnerability king. He’s gotta use it here and be honest about it how it affected him. It’s his best weapon that has kind of eroded as he’s gotten richer and less accessible.

Him continuing to brush it off in the leaks or play victim is disappointing, because he can really do something with this. This was not one of those losses you can just brush off….

He makes it seem so easy that I get confused how rappers like Cole and Nas have such issues with it even tho they’re better lyricists

Wouldn’t say Cole is a better lyricist than Drake by any measure.

    Cole is ass

Nas has rapped some of the best beats ever on illmatic

    Nas is just inconsistent

Not even close, Jcole is marketed as a lyricist he really isn’t.

I wouldn’t consider Drake much a lyricist either but Drake is better Fs

    Jcole needs ghost writers

Drake got washed on fps and Cole was slightly better on evil ways. Maybe not all time but recently Cole has been better lyrically

Nas has a Kanye produced project and somehow got some of the worst beasts I’ve ever heard. I was actually impressed how that was possible

Well yeah, rapping on better production makes everything sound better. Also drake’s a better songwriter so that helps

I totally agree, but I still wonder how much of his perhaps or ghost from me? Genuine question as I don’t know.

Like middle of the ocean, 6am in Charlotte, the more lyrical joints

I don’t even like those kind of monotone diary raps. He’s had some amazing pockets he’s rapped in during his career

Drake’s best rapping is on his trap tracks

    Stuff like 0-100
