I think it kept him grounded and probably got real feedback. Now you got random niggas like this dude and f***ing Adin Ross speaking on the music. No coincidence the quality has dipped since he let all these bozos in his circle

Something interesting I came across
"I can def see Drake using Iceman to "Recoup" all the money he feels he's owed from UMG. It wouldn't have made sense to drop Iceman before the Q1 earnings report. I think Drake wants to apply pressure through the board of directors by showing the giant difference in earnings when he stays silent and stops producing. Some aspects of the scenes in the rollout episodes can also be tied back to this line of thinking.
Just my take. I think the album is complete, and as we get closer to the Q1 meeting and the annual meeting, we may start hearing news about the album and even the lawsuit. Q1 earnings report back in 2024 was on May 2"

Yeah that is true I suppose. I’m probably being biased because he said what I want from the album too
but overall I’d rather he listened to those guys too

i think a lot of drake fans are expecting something different when in reality he will play it pretty close to what we normally get:
a slightly over bloated album with great r&b, solid deep cuts but repetitive rap tracks.
looking forward to the album cuz im a fan but this project has taken a whole different whirlwind simply because its post-beef
