Yeah every label pushes their artists, UMG would’ve pushed Drake if he won too, that’s their job, were they supposed to ignore the fact their artist dropped a generational diss track?

Companies doing this kinda stuff isn’t even a big UMG push, They do this with anything trendy

  • goretex

so UMG pushed a false diss song against their biggest artist that painted him a pedophile. sounds like the grounds for a perfect lawsuit imo

No shade but I don’t really play dude music and his voice is just meh cannot stand it I’m coo off dude music lol

I like some Kendrick songs. GKMC is stamped as a classic forever. Section .80 is legendary. GNX was cool, but I wasn’t really a fan of that or Mr morale

I feel like you are kinda missing the main point… artists sign to labels to build their brand, and there was probably something in drake’s deal about not harming his image. but now he thinks UMG pushed a track with really awful accusations about him in a way that wasn’t even organic, and he is just trying to stand up for himself ; which honestly feels pretty fair to me

push ups is real because kendrick lamar is ACTUALLY SHORT. he ACTUALLY GOT MADE TO DO POP VERSES BY TOP

NOT like us is a DISS SONG claiming that Aubrey "Young Sweet Jones" Graham is a pedophile WHICH HE ISNT.

drake made a false claim on his master piece FAMILY MATTERS. but didnt get the industry to break every rule on earth for it to be popular

seems like you dont know the court of law

I genuinely don’t care what’s real in a diss man, just make that s*** hard and I’m good

Also FM just didn’t have the traction NLU did from the jump, it was stepped on by MTG, which also didn’t get any push

this really isnt about a rap battle the way people keep framing it, it is more of a business and branding issue. a label isnt supposed to harm the artist its working with, and if it does, that is a problem. drake seems to believe UMG supported and boosted a song that damages his image in ways that werent organic, maybe even artificially. at least that’s how he sees it, we dont actually know what led him to that conclusion. so now he is trying to handle it legally. it is honestly way less about rap beef and way more about protecting his brand
