I KNOW IT GET BETTER THAN THAT

you buy every album you listen too on first listen?
Yeah if it’s an artist I like and respect. It’s not an insanely long list
Can use other means if I’m not sure.
Jay z tried w tidal and flopped
Ye tried steam player and flopped
Drake shouldn’t try to reinvent the wheel
He needs to just play ball w Apple they could help each other out
please don't put me to the test

I know this isn’t what some people want to hear but streaming music for people both general consumers and people who have an inclined interest in music has been relatively inflation-proof relative to what you get for your dollar. I know there are a lot of conversations pros and cons about streaming but generally speaking it’s an inexpensive barrier of entry for people especially in this economy. Love to support my favorite but my preference is through physical releases or ticket sales. I hesitate against everyone moving to a “stream through me for exclusives” because it seems almost like the current tv landscape. I feel like people overlook how much early DSPs tried this in some capacity and they backtracked rather quickly
You right
But I feel like we aren't taking into account how big stan culture and riding for one artist has become in the past 10 years
This is crazy hate /dry snitching

Instead of making his own streaming service (so dumb)
He should sign exclusively with Apple Music for a trillion dollars
I’m sure they would write up a sweetheart deal to keep him on Apple Music exclusively

Yeah it’s tough because then it becomes like having to own all streaming services to watch the shows and tv you like which often ends in pirating because digital ownership is s***

Streaming is a plague yes.
Right, but I feel like the listener of 2026 is way more diehard than the listener of 2014
personally think it’s the opposite due to convenience
if he did this after Scorpion? different topic cause SoundCloud was still popping

Your post did make me think about something I had said awhile back. I think Drake would be an excellent pilot test for a Patreon-type platform. Direct to consumer exclusives, BTS, or even early access that counts towards sales would be dope. There is no doubt in my mind the biggest artists could do something like this with a low level of effort I mean they realistically could delegate it through another party tbh but I think that’s a happy medium of choice on how much you want to be connected and/or support an artist
are airpod 4 decent? i want some easy earbuds for the gym, but dont want the one with the rubber tips
