Kendrick's music panders to white people (left and right) who only believe black people live a very urban, d***-filled, ghetto, hostile, trauma-inducing, life.

It gives no space to the wide spectrum of experiences black people have around the United States, and the world.

Through this narrow box of the black experience, Kendrick flourishes as the poster child of exactly what these kind of what white people expect black people to make music about and talk on

This is the same box Kendrick pointed out that Drake was exploiting and not being a part of

In reality, Drake's music liberates black people because it speaks on the vast kinds of lives they ACTUALLY lead, whilst also uplifting so many regional sounds and artists that get overlooked by mainstream records and radio

    Drake's music is open-minded thinking, Kendrick's is close-minded thinking

So if you're a white person and you really think Kendrick speaks for the entire black experience, that says A LOT about you.

And if you don't get that -- Janice, STFU

Seems over his last few projects Drake has had several callbacks to his music, lyrics, albums etc and it’s really cool to me. More artists should talk about themselves like that

  • Jbreezyondeck

Can we just talk about the album jfc
