But why is that that Serbs and Croats in the same country doesn’t work? Mostly political problems in Yugoslavia or deeper divisions in history and identity/that they don’t see themselves as the same people?
Well ethnically we are deffo the same people but historically we've had major problems. Before the wars in the 90's there was Nazi Croatia that killed around 100k people, mostyl serbs but also bosniak muslim, jews and so on. They even had Concentration camps for strictly for children. Even Hitler told Croatia that they were going too far.
Serbs have done a lot of f***ed up s*** too and thus politicians on both sides like to stir up s*** once in a while for votes

Mar 1, 2022·2 repliesan important life update: my brother's friend (one of our summer home neighbors) was drafted 4 months ago and is now going to ukraine after four months of 'service.' there's no way to get in touch with him at the moment. my bro is devastated, my friends are devastated (we all knew the guy), parents are coping to the absolute best but they're clearly panicking
yall should know this s***, regardless if you feel sympathy or not. since I use this thread as my only way of communication with international people on whats going on -- ill keep using it for that
