Are we (USA) considered to be at war currently? Watching the news coverage on this war, and we freely say that we’re arming, helping train, and seems like even provide intel for Ukraine in their efforts against Russia. Is this just how proxy wars are discussed? Maybe I just wasn’t paying attention?

Like it seems we’ve taken every action available that you would during a war, except officially deploy our troops

No we are not at war. Not particularly close really. Aid and military advisors to an allied state at war is a relatively common occurrence and is not considered to be an act or war. US will never go to war with Russia over a non-NATO country as long as Russia has nukes.

I think they’re just going through the motions and trying to communicate to the public they’re still actively helping Ukraine however they can

All this talk of Patriot missiles being needed immediately but now they need months to train people before sending it? That doesn’t address the pressing missile issue at all. Energy grid will collapse and the missile offensive will prob be over or evolved by the time they get trained lol

Even the one or two systems they send won’t change much
