    Nicest sanctions ever

The EU is currently on their 11th round of sanctions. It's been a joke.

it’s sad but anything other than sanctions is allow what russia wanted to do to go unchallenged

i don’t see any rational argument for this being a good thing

Yeah in f***ing up normal Russians lives for sure

it’s placed some constraints on what russia can do, manufacture and spend money on

you all make it sound as if the only good action the eu or us could take is allow russia to achieve its sims and facilitate the escape of ukrainians who don’t want to live there. no ukraine support. no sanctions. literally just roll over and business as usual

how on earth is this a good idea?

They knew s*** wasn't gonna work within the first couple weeks. Gotta keep up the act tho

The talks between Scholz and Putin were held on 4 March 2022, day nine of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Scholz revealed in his conversation with Macron that the situation "is not getting better".
"There is something that concerns me more than the talks: he (Putin) does not complain about the sanctions at all. I don’t know if he mentioned them in his conversation with you. But he did not mention them at all to me," Scholz told Macron, who replied: "He didn’t to me either."

They got Scholz in to office in December '21, immediately convinced him to set his economy up for failure by March '22 and seemingly promised him Putin would quickly beg for mercy

    They're pro-Russia, that's why

"American officials say they fear that Ukraine has become casualty averse, one reason it has been cautious about pressing ahead with the counteroffensive. Almost any big push against dug-in Russian defenders protected by minefields would result in huge numbers of losses."

It’s def not about winning at this point, if anything it’s about the damage done to Russia through attrition. I don’t think anyone in the US or EU, even with all their issues, is delusional enough to think Ukraine will have a Pyrrhic victory
